Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
